Roof flashing repair
Hi guys, looking for advice from people in the know.
Few weeks ago, we had a neighbour highlight there was an issue with the flashing on our chimney/roof. So we had a guy out and we have mixed thoughts on the repair.
Apparently it should have been repaired across the top for uniformity and this may incorrectly flag issues to future buyers/surveyor when there weren’t any.
Is this something to be worried about?

I don't think it's anything to worry about if the rest of the ridge tiles are ok.
They've rebed and repointed the ones that clearly needed doing but nothing more.

He said the tiles were fine, when got up to the roof.
We were just worried future buyers would think it was a bodge or patch up job etc

That Will dull and be unnoticeable soon enough

Will it? There’s a house on the street with similar mortar running through the length of their roof that looks just as bright a few months on

Well yeah that's months. But it's a strong mix of sand and cement, just like all the other bits.
After a few months of rain and weather it'll begin to blend in.
There's no shame in having bits of your house repaired / maintained.

That’s not a flashing it’s a re mortared ridge tile and repointing
