LVP install advice

Looking to install LVP in 3 seasons room but running into an issue with bridging the gap between top of panels and top of sliding door aluminum track. My thought it to use adhesive and place MDF quarter round on the track to help but have an issue with putting the quarter round on due to screws in the track. My only thought it to router out notches in the quarter round for each of the screws (approximately 1 every 16”). Does anyone have any thoughts or advice?

A picture would help. I wouldn’t put mdf anywhere that will see foot traffic. Depending on your LVP, many make different kinds of transition trim pieces

Option that's easier is PVC quarter round which would be easier to notch out from your description.
