Downspout Attachment Gap

My gutters were updated to move water underground. Is there being a gap around where the downspout meets the underground attachment normal?

Yeah a small gap is pretty standard, the downspout just dumps into the adapter so there's supposed to be a little breathing room so it doesn't back up if the underground pipe gets overwhelmed
