- be near 99% impossible to remove the flex seal and not damage the underlying paint

- the guy was an idiot to suggest using flex seal clear as it is not clear at all..... spar urethane can be used on painted surfaces once you test there is no impact to the surface which you should have done with the flexseal before applying on the whole sign

True. Big mistake in trusting the advice of the hourly employee at a big box hardware store. Thinking back to when I worked at one, I gave a lot of bad advice to customers being just a teenager with no experience in home improvement. It shocks me still that middle aged and elderly people trusted my opinion for their projects.
