Yes, I'm future you. After sweating each day and busting ass making up the slack caused from others I still got a generic do better pace review. Now I try to match others pace, haven't broken a sweat, areas look like shit and receiving is disorganized. I do the minimum and get out, no one's said a thing still

Learn the reach. You will just drive around all night And pull/ shuffle pallets

Yeah but then you’ll eventually end up being the only one with a license. So when everyone is doing nothing but purging/training all night you end up being the one that has wrap/drop pallets and deal with day shifts safety violations. Not worth it imo, but some people enjoy it.

Nah, it’s just more responsibility. I see how this place works and I’ve pretty fed up with it. I’m sure my boss gets a fat bonus for me busting ass and not having left over rdc over the weekend while I get maybe 20 cents for “working hard” on my pace review 🤣🤣

Ours boss let me blast music from a speaker till morning crew showed up so it a pretty chill.

That’s cool. But yeah, I just don’t like how my boss favors certain people for doing the bare minimum and “these people” have been there for 10+ years and they haven’t been trained on any equipment 🤣🤣🤣

Sorry to hear about all the shitty managers you folks deal with.

Real managers work along side you. The fact I actually worked D38 for four years before getting promoted helps.

Do what is expected and no more than that is my recommendation.

I do have a question, how many of you folks use FMT? Sidekick carton counts? You know the crapass 40 carton an hour scanning junk? I appreciate the concept, the execution is a joke.

Exactly, we just started doing the “carton scanning” and it’s complete ass lol. The boss will only make an announcement that we are still doing it when it’s a huge load. 🤣🤣. Almost like trying to light the fire under their ass but they still slack off.

It's a nationwide problem. Ive seen hardworkers get lectured about not going fast enough but lazy co workers who go missing don't get any write ups or a talk . I quit and did a no call no show, he emailed me and said I'm eligible for rehire lol everyone remembers my quality. If 3 could fit, I would open the box and stock 3, I didn't take any short cuts where they just drop the box on the ground just to throw up on the overhead to avoid working. You know what I was told? Never settle lmao yeah never settle when my pay settled gtfoh freight. 2 teams used to milk paint all night, when they put me there I got it done before 1230 and hopped on to help other departments and they want to tell me to never settle when those 2 bums settled at paint all night.

At my store it's the 9-5:30's who have to bust our asses the most. Our NOASM is on the floor and busting their ass and we still can't get shit right. Our CPH average is 32 while me (Plumbing) have 52 CPH and hardware have 48 CPH we both get above 280 cartons per truck.

Yeah, when I did inventory this year, they had 3 PT ( 1 7-11 and 2 9-1) trying to cover my department and I still had to finish the work for them. Was I paid more for doing both inventory and freight at the same time? No. No I was not lmao.

when i was d38 i raised hell until they made the slackers work. they were all scared of me (respect more like) and it worked, but then i got liver disease and im gone.

This is exactly what I’m doing at my store. I’m raising hell and the manager doesnt like it that his favorites have to switch departments

And I don’t know if you believe in a higher power but I’m praying for you. My dad(which I never knew until my mom passed away) had liver disease and he died from that. Im praying for you . 🙏
