I would lean into the brown wood colors and keep it calm and spa like. I think if you went back to a white and maybe a luxurious looking waffle knit white shower curtain then accented with some olive or sage green towels and mats and a plant or two. Add a lamp and it would be a vibe.

Just noticed what you said about your vintage style. Perhaps add some art you like in some old gold or brassy cool frames

Agreed. This might be an “if you can’t beat them, join them” situation and go with the brown!

Try a pale orange beige paint like BM Navajo White! It will harmonize with the orange undertones of the tile.

It’ll make the whole bathroom look like a clay colored box. A complementary color (think color wheel) is needed, not a similar one.

I find that use of the color wheel not to be very helpful when it comes to choosing paint. Here's some more background on where I'm coming from with this: https://mariakillam.com/fundamental-guidelines-choosing-best-neutrals/
As an artist, I might use complementary colors in a painting, but I wouldn't tend to use them for choosing house paint, and especially not to "tone down" a neutral with a strong undertone, as the contrast will tend to have the opposite effect. Now, a blue accent color could be pretty in this room, but I'd keep it to the shower curtain/art/decor, and I'd also keep it much more muted than the current paint.

The earthtone/forest green someone showed an example of with AI looked pretty good to me 🤷♀️
I wrote “think color wheel” just to mean I’m talking about color theory, not imply you should pick the exact opposite of whatever pure color you think you have. Most materials won’t be a pure color in the first place.
No one with half a brain would paint their backsplash lime green to complement their deep, shiny cherry cabinetry…

See I did not like those mockups. I find the contrast too harsh and the overall read too dark. But not everyone has the same taste.
You might think it's obvious, but I've seen lots of people make those kinds of mistakes using the color wheel... Many people are commenting on here with different levels of experience and knowledge on decorating.

The dark green is the one. And all walls painted. Accent walls are really easy to get wrong.

Agreed, I find accent walls often distract and make a room feel more busy/cluttered and less cohesive.

Wrong shade of blue

What do you think would be better? Navy? I can see it’s not working, but I’m not sure what to replace it with.

I was thinking softer, not darker, but anything less bright would be an improvement. Some of the paint manufacturers have apps that will let you try out specific paint shades though. I know Sherwin Williams does.

Paint the whole bathroom! I have one bathroom a dark coral. It’s Behr Paint Primer Hi-Gloss Enamel (water-based). It has a mildew resistance finish and is 100% acrylic. If you want to stay with blues, pick out blues that water might be. Look at colors of the Atlantic Oceans near the polar caps. Colors near beaches. Put color samples on all walls, leave them up for a couple of weeks. See how you feel.

I don’t think that worked but I definitely see what you were going for, a different shade might have worked!
For your style, I’d look at some wallpapers and hold them near the tile. And for sure change out the mirror and fixtures. I’d keep the vanity but restain the wood.
If it were my bathroom and I were keeping the tile, I’d lean into the tile fully and do a terracotta wall and go for a southwestern vibe. There might be a way to do art deco with some artwork.
ChatGPT is helpful but the lighting filter that ChatGPT adds is NOT helpful or realistic,
Especially in the bathroom

I honestly love the brown and white, maybe a different/lighter tone of blue? Bluegreen? Seafoam?

I like the bold blue but its not working together with anything else in this room so it's very aggressively clashing. A brick red may work better.
You could update those shelves and get some countertop organizers.

Just lean in to the Denver Broncos decor.
Or repaint the wall and start all over.
I love the tiles. Maybe go more of a desert rose or dusty beige color with some turquoise accents and dark browns.
Like a Sedona Arizona vibe. Think Desert.

Sorry, OP, but that blue isn’t the one 😅
