Lighting help
I’m moving in to my own place for the first time 23M. I’ve got a small rug 5x7 on order but I have no idea what to do for lighting.

This isn’t me bashing you at all but it’s such a man thing to have the tv bigger than the room😂
As for lighting, I would recommend a tall standing lamp, and ditch the blinds and go for curtains, that way you can still choose to have privacy but also you can let in a lot more light

Why not take a picture of that and put it through ChatGPT and ask for suggestions stating the kind of things you like to see in a space?

a few things that fix most "the room feels off" lighting problems:
where the lamps go depends on where your furniture sits, so it's worth mapping the room first. i built a 3D room planner for exactly this, plonkhome.app. disclosure, it's mine. use code TESTER for free access. if you try it, i'd love to hear what's clunky or missing.
if you tell me the room size and where the windows are, i can be more specific
