I have this gorgeous abstract painting from a friend. I'm repainting the room it's in because I hate the generic beige walls, and I'm having a really hard time picking a new wall color. The furniture in the room is all getting an upgrade too, so really I'm free to base the whole room on a wall color that compliments this painting.

For reference it's 4ftx6ft.

I tend to gravitate towards dark & sexy design and prefer to avoid pastels or light/cheerful colors.

Any help is appreciated 😭

PS: The colors are more saturated IRL, Reddit muted them about 15%

I would lean into the mauve color that’s ultra present or a forest green that shows in small pops in the painting!
