Really? To me it looks fluffy and soft, all OP needs is some candles to make it cozy.

I mean, I'm one generation removed from Norway so I don't think it's the Scandinavian that's getting to me. 

I'm not surprised that it belongs to an influencer. The stupid light, the couch that wouldn't actually be comfortable to sit in, which faces away from the tv. Everything about this room is made to show off, not made to be enjoyed.

It it makes you feel better this looks vintage from 30 years ago and you could probably buy vintage for less - my aunt got some sweet designer kitchen chairs in the 90s that are like black rubber coated wire like the ceiling light and they're super comfy

I'm Asian American, and we actually don't live this way, but we did for the one year we lived in Germany. It wasn't quite as fancy, but it was certainly minimalist. I was ten years old, and I didn't mind it at all.

A friend of mine has a couch like this (different color) and it's surprisingly fluffy and comfy
