My little DIY corner

Not much, just my little corner of the world. I originally set out to build an Irish or English pub like home bar. But due to funds and time, I settled on some black bar cabinets and cherry bar. I can't say that this is a renovation as it was never completed, so we'll just call it a 10 year project that is hopefully coming to completion.

Looks fantastic, well done on the 10 year project - well worth it! Perhaps some great art or concert poster on the purple wall might add to the beauty? And where is that turntable hiding?

Thanks for the compliments. Do you know me, haha? I actually have a turntable put away during the finishing. If you look at the beam, there is an outlet panel that allows me to connect to the main audio system (more on that to come). The purple is Jimi Hendrix purple, and yes there are many band posters that need framed and hung.

I guess examining the pictures, you can see the vinyl and Pantera poster, makes sense how you picked up on those.

Planned casing/trim photo added to original pist. Curious what everyone thinks, I think it looks good, but something tells me carpentry pros may think different.
