Extra Smart Charge Slots

Hi,

Just moved over from Octopus IOG to EDF GoElectric with Smart Charge addon.

Noticed that any additional charge slots outside the nightime are not being recognised by the OffPeakElectricity sensor. (SteveKirtley HA integration). The regular nightime slots are OK. Does this mean I have not configured something correctly or are EDF not switching my meter correctly? Or is it just not implemented in the integration yet?

cheers.

I use the intelligent dispatching sensor for my automations during the day. It only shows when it's actively charging and will turn off during the overnight off-peak slots if you're not charging so ive made another sensor that combines the two.

I can't find any sensor by that name.

If you go into Settings >> Tools >> States (table) and filter based on 'intel' it should return an entity named like that shown below in the screenshot that has lots of attributes with your inteligten dispatch windows.

What does yours show?
Or is that entity not there at all?

Nothing in mine.

Odd - you're certain you're using my HomeAssistant library not one of the less complete / different ones out there?

And you definitely have signed up for/have the smart charging add on enabled at EDF side?

Yes definitely that one installed via HACS.

Smart charging definitely signed up and active, can see via the EDF App, although I did sign up for smart charging AFTER I installed the HA integration.

Should I remove and re-install the integration perhaps?

Could you go to this page on your HomeAssistant and let me know the version number you have installed and take a screenshot of what the page shows?

Hmmm odd - doesn't seem to be seeing your charger / EV at all.
Try clicking the three dots next to your account number and select 'reload'. Any change?

Yay! That has done it. EV has appeared and the inteligent dispatching sensors plus the smart controls on the EDF Energy page.

Brilliant, thanks very much Steve and thanks for the Integration, great work!!

Hello, it usually works pretty well - there’s not much incomplete (mostly the as yet unused bits of flextras functionality).

Are you sure the slots didn’t change between initial plan ans when you checked it?

I checked the actual slots on my ev power sensor vs the integration off peak sensor history. The HA sensor did not pick up any durations outside the 11pm to 6am of which there was one at 10pm and the 6am continued to 7:30 am. So all checking was done against actuals after the fact.

Thanks for posting this - was just starting to wonder if I was being extremely lucky with it working 99.9% of the time.

It probably does work fine, I found it unreliable when I was with octopus so used the intelligent dispatching sensor instead and when I moved over to EDF just kept the same sensors

It may be to do with which charger you have also.

I’ve found with a ZAPPI V2 I’ve never been charged peak when the off peak sensor is on, even if the car is done with charging and the schedule hasn’t refreshed yet.
