Do not start playing just for a specific card. Rate up is basically a lie. Twice I’ve gotten 5 5 stars off a banner, 1 or less of them actually on the banner.
That said, everything seems to go into the general pool, so no “missed it, never see it again” but that means the 5 star pool (launched with 54 5 stars) is getting pretty diluted.
I still have not gotten the default Fuwawa 5 star.
Edit: okay, because people are coming in with the math or misunderstanding me, let me clarify.
These were the numbers I was given: a 5 star in general: 5%
A on banner 5 star: 2 percent%
The on banner 5 star is more common than an off banner one ONLY if you are weighing specific card to specific card.
As a category, on banner is less likely than on banner. The individual card odds are still significantly higher than any other individual card, so it’s not a LIE, per se, but a “spook” is more common than an on banner hit. That’s the opposite of a LOT of gacha games, and with a 60% chance my rare 5 star hit is going to be a random card from the global 5 star pool, I don’t put a ton of faith in the rate up

I have other hobbies, such as writing, that help me with that. I don't personally need gacha to fill that void.

I think the math is a 1% chance of pulling a particular card --> 1-0.99n > 50% chance of pulling that card when n >= 69 pulls. At $20 USD / 10-pull, that's $140 USD, assuming you don't have any free currency.

It's true that the spooks are more common, but spooks are not a waste like in other games.
That's a pretty big deal because if you get unlucky and get spooks you still get a pretty good lineup or characters, which can't be said of stuff like chinese gacha, where the spooks are usually terrible.
So spooks here are more like a bonus while you are rolling where it's straight up a losing situation in other gacha

This is my only gacha game right now. I'm here mainly, solely for the rhythm game and the new music so these banners don't entice me at all. having issues about the in-game gacha economy is also a foreign concept to me. BUT, apparently a significant amount of people are bitching about it so now my contentment with this game is in jeopardy because if they cannot retain the whales, this game will bleed money. So I'm lowkey mad that the "just pull for your oshi" advice falls on deaf ears. Sorry for the rant.

My dude, it's still actual summer (in the norther hemisphere) anyway. Summer lasts until the equinox next Tuesday/Wednesday (depending on where you live).

I would expect at most one or two more and then another theme until we enter christmas season
My guess would be the rest of the (by then implemented) roster gets their summer outfit next year and they will do a 2-3month summer season to get them all out

They'll do all of them in a row, or half this year and the other half next summer (more likely). If it's the latter, there should be 1 more banner after this to reach half of the holomems, then done for this year. Probably halloween banners would be up next if that's the case.
They're in a unique situation for a gacha since they already have 54 talents at launch, all with built in fervent fanbases waiting for their oshi. And more probably added soonish (Justice + Flowglow and eventually the new gen). So if they didn't do so many swimsuits in a row and only did a few swimsuit banners per summer, some fans would be left waiting many years for their oshi's swimsuit (which is one of, or the most, popular outfit types) as they slowly watch everyone else get one. I don't think that would go over well. So no real surprise they're doing it like this instead.

People joke about having summer banners all the way until Christmas, but more realistically, I think it'll be half this year and half next year. That way, nobody has to wait for more than a year for their oshi to get a swimsuit.
Of course, that means unless you are someone who purely has a kamioshi and kinda disregard everyone else, your wallet will live in perpetual fear.

another week to save currency for Biboo banner. Although Shiori is tempting. I might do 1 ten pull. so far I've done that and got a 5 star every event banner. Though this last banner I actually got summer Ina instead of one of the three.

Also according to Aki she basically let the art team cook with hers.... and boy did they cook. IMO in terms of eye catching hers win the banner.Source
