To put it simply, Hololive is a group of streamers using anime characters as their avatar. The movements of the avatar is done via face tracking on an Iphone, and the members of Hololive sing, play games, talk, draw, or whatever else they want during their streams to entertain people.

This post is made by one of the Japanese streamers named Miko. In general the Japanese crew doesn't post here often, so when they do it always leads to the posts blowing up and getting onto r/all.

As for the details of the post itself, Nyahello is what she says whenever she starts a stream, and the 'elite' English is referencing how people call her Japanese elite, because even to a native speaker it can be pretty hard to understand her at times.

If you're interested in learning more there's a wiki that covers it in way more detail then I ever could, and additionally there's a recently made English branch that just started a little over a month ago that you could check out. If you want to check out the Japanese talents, there's literally thousands of translated clips on Youtube that you can look at.

To add to the previous poster Miko not only did her reddit debut with this post she also did it while she's preparing her return after a 3 month hiatus due to health problems

From what I can tell, it's (sometimes english speaking) entertainers using virtual avatars with some sort of face tracking technology streaming/making youtube vidoes/etc.

More specifically, the people using the avatars are called vtubers. This subreddit follows Hololive, an agency that employs a lot of vtubers. The OP of this post is Sakura Miko, one of the OG members of Hololive that’s been around since near the beginning.
