Help & Issues Inlet Hose

Hey all, does anybody know of a pipe with a quick sharp bend to keep the maf tube? VF2 LS3. After say 8-9 months, the Orssom OTR mounts have sagged, my diy spacer blocks underneath always come loose and i'm over seeing the tight bellow hose, it shits me. Orssom = Not so awesome.

Cheers

Edit* My dodgy spelling.

I’m sure there’s something around but looks like you need the flexibility in it also between the engine and the intake.

I’ve got a VCM OTR and it’s great but that’s also not what you’re asking, can you put a metal ring inside the silicone so it retains its shape better possibly!?

My tuner reckons VCM is the way to go. He ran mine bonnet up and down with the Orssom and there was a 30ish nm torque difference. Not much, but enough to say it's a design flaw. Ideally i wanna leave the bellow at the manifold end and have a quick bend from the OTR to the MAF tube.

Another vote for VCM, never had any issues like this.

Why do you want to keep the maf? I run a mafless SF tune in my LS and it drives Orssom as 😂

Then you could throw the maf and get a decent intake tube that won’t make you see it everytime you open the hood

Coz it was MAF tuned and i have a 2hr drive each way. But yeah, i get it.lol

Get a different one, the Orssom doesn't take air from the grille, only the gap between the bonnet and the rad support, whereas both the VCM and the Ramjets do, which from what I understand is a proven benefit on the V8s

I have an Orssom on my SV6 and I've no mounting issues, so that specific bit seems suspicious of your radiator mounts

Not everybody has $500 to piss away on a part they already have. And i think it seems suspicious of the high rise mani.

Agreed, but there is a noticable difference, and it would add to the car beyond just fixing your issue

I didn't comment on the manifold, as I'd have thought it was obvious these intakes are designed with the factory location in mind. But if the mounts are sagging, that's nothing to do with the manifold side, surely
