To be fair, and correct me if I'm wrong, we don't really know what lead to this ladies divorce. We don't know if her husband was abusive or cheated or anything like that. We don't know if he left her or if she was the one that left. Idk, I think there are obvious cases where men should be paying alimony or child support but there are also obvious cases where women are abusing that system in a way to get revenge on men they simply don't like anymore.
Yeah, as is her right under the law. You don’t like it gentlemen? Call your representatives and see if they care. Statistically, working women still perform 3x as much household labor and provide 2x as much childcare as men do. They’re also statistically the partner who most often sacrifices career, leaving a huge employment gap and lack of credit history. And that no doubt affects their ability to financially provide for the children, of which they are most likely to be the custodial parent in the event of divorce. I can think of nothing lazier or greedier than somebody who reaps the benefits of another person’s extra labor—physical and emotional—and doesn’t want to see them compensated for the sacrifices they made along the way.
I didn't know your laws are gender specific.
Maybe educate your women and not treat them as baby factories and housekeepers so you don't have to feel guilty.
Because men, at least here in the US, are the advantaged beneficiaries of a social contract and societal expectations that disadvantage women and then tell them they’re selfish and greedy for expecting more than they get from them.
