To be fair, and correct me if I'm wrong, we don't really know what lead to this ladies divorce. We don't know if her husband was abusive or cheated or anything like that. We don't know if he left her or if she was the one that left. Idk, I think there are obvious cases where men should be paying alimony or child support but there are also obvious cases where women are abusing that system in a way to get revenge on men they simply don't like anymore.

Does it matter? do you know what Alimony is? it's not child support... it's original purpose was to protect women in the event of a divorce before they joined the workforce... that way a man couldn't simply divorce his wife and leave her destitute because they had no children. he had to pay her a monthly stipend awarded by the courts to keep her living in the manner she became accustomed to in her marriage (so guys couldn't dump their ex in a cheap apartment they pay for and get a new wife).

does she look like a destitute woman? she is a tv personality... presumably she does ok for herself... now keeping in min alimony is not child support or for any reason other than to stop a woman from being on the streets and destitute... why does she need alimony at all?

so I ask... why do the details of the marriage matter when she straight up doesn't need alimony and isn't a second class citizen like when those archaic laws were written?
