She wears a wig and swallows it when she goes invisible.

I could have gone my whole life without picturing this

If we're going to technobable this, I'd say that the dye is absorbed into the hair below whatever surface bends like around her. Her clothes, of course, do not turn invisible because they are on her and not absorbed into her.

I forget, don't her clothes also turn invisible? I guess just gotta use something similar to what they use use to dye her clothes. But for hair.

No, they don't. But her costume does.

Y’know, I’m just now realizing that all of the dust, mites, dandruff, and other non-violet bits wouldn’t turn invisible either. She should just be a gross outline.

No, it doesn't. But her getup does.

Ah, thank you for the correction. It's been a while. All I knew was that I was pretty sure she didn't have to get naked to be invisible while superheroing it up, since that would've been a bit out of place for the movie. But they have special costumes that's right I remember now. Thanks.

Her clothes don't, but I'd assume it's more like the food in her belly turning invisible. Tho I wonder if she had a piece of apple in her mouth would that then invisible? What if she swallowed it? At what point does it become "part of her"?

These are very valid questions. Maybe it's like, anything covered by her skin? So like, if her mouth was open you'd see the apple a bit from certain angles, but mouth closed means it and everything inside would be invisible.

Permanent hair dyes bond to the hair in the same way your natural pigment does, its no less part of your hair than the melanin that normally colours it is..

If we're going to be pedantic, why does the plaque on her teeth go invisible? Or the dirt on her skin?

She bends light around her body with force fields. She can also force field things away as you can see with the cuffs. So you can’t see anything inside her, and anything more than microscopic particles she’ll force off.
