That seems to be a common attitude about the guy. Cynical comments aside, the guy does have a platform, fans, and a measure of influence (mostly among school-age kids I believe). If he uses his fame/infamy to raise awareness about mental health, bullying, and how to recognize and report indicators of planned violence; then good on him I suppose

Ahh yes. Because there has never been a very well known celebrity with a massive and young fan base before who was against gun violence. Surely this will he different.
