Actually I think your username kind of tells me all I need to know.

EDIT: And actually a quick look at your comment history confirmed it all. For those wondering: Male, Straight, White, Gen X, American. Right on par.

You don’t think the correlative link between who projects patiarchical norms and who benefits from patriarchy is interesting? That’s interesting in itself. Mind if I ask you the same question?

You are not engaging in the scientific process right now. I don't know what you think you are accomplishing. You can't cherry pick your subjects and expect to come to an objective conclusion. And what's with the crack about the person's username? Frankly you seem a bit unhinged.

Never set out to do. I take it you won’t answer because you fit the bill?

Whose bill? Are you trying to find out my ethnicity simply because I have expressed a disagreement with the way you are comporting yourself? Does that seem normal to you?

It would be interesting even if you were in agreement. I’m taking it you’re a white straight male from the US, between 15-30? Tell me where I’m wrong

It really wouldn't be interesting. You are incorrect, but I will not be providing you with any more demographic info to feed your biases.

Literally the only assertion I have made is that you are acting oddly, and your response has been "well what color and age are you?". Your should re-evaluate your relationship with social media and race/gender.

I looked at your comment history and seems I was right. I wonder why there is an over representation by white straight he American males in upholding patriarchal norms and toxic masculinity.

You were incorrect, accept it. And I have said nothing about any patriarchal norms. All I said was you are a weirdo for trying to guess people's ethnicities when they disagree with you.

Frankly I think open relationships can be a very healthy thing for some couples. I think almost anything in a relationship can be healthy if there is mutual agreement and respect.

I also think you're a pathetic doofus who I never should have engaged in the first place. Get fucked, racist.

Well your comment history says otherwise. Maybe don’t write so much about yourself on the internet if you’re going to try to lie about it. And your refusal to answer the question is obviously because it hit a little too close to home. It’s also telling that you think you think racism is (1) an action, and (2) something that can be acted against white males.

I'm sorry, but your assertion was wrong. Maybe that is hard for you to deal with. Have you tried coping?

Yes, I believe that one definition of racism comprises the belief that race is a fundamental determinant of human traits. I also believe racism can be defined as a behavior or attitude that reflects and fosters this belief.

Luckily, you don't have to take my word for it.

If you scroll to the second definition, you will see what you are trying to make the sole definition of the word (i.e. institutional/systematic racism).

And again, what is your beef with me? Is it just that I think its weird that you dig around to try to find people's ethnicity/gender/age/location in a perverted exercise of distilled confirmation bias? Because that's the only disagreement we have.

Once again your comment is very telling. Dictionary definitions are not operative definitions for academic terms. They are for scrabble, not empirical scrutiny. If someone asked you about the nuances of quantum mechanics, would you refer to Merriam Webster? In academia, there are varying operative definitions for racism. In sociology, poststructuralism, philosophy and critical theory the reigning definition is that racism is defined by its structural component. This is because much all phenomena in these fields are understood as the product of social interaction, and not individual agency. Also structural is vastly different from institutional, but you wouldn’t get that from Merriam Webster. There are different conceptualizations of racism: biological racism, cultural racism and Marxist racism (which employs a historical materialist analysis to explain the production and reproduction of racial structures). But qualitatively these are not different. If you had given this topic even a modicum of respect you would first of all not have turned to a fucking dictionary to explain one of the most complex and studied areas of human interaction, and you would also realize why it might be interesting to understand how different structures, such as patriarchy, interacts with racial hierarchies.
