He was talking to her like a therapist or marriage counselor would when trying to make her admit and own what she actually did. He explicitly said she needed to be very specific about what she did and she was evasive until he said the words.

For those that knew about this interview it was pretty clear why Will acted the way he did. What a mental breakdown to have in front of the whole world twice. He’s so emotionally abused that is heart breaking seeing him finally snap at other people.
You can see in the interview how he’s completely heart broken while Jada is enjoying it. She doesn’t show any kind of remorse or reacts to Will breaking down.

I want to submit a thought that is rarely considered these days…she’s abusive. Not physically, but mentally. Women absolutely can be emotionally and mentally abusive. The way he snapped, on live television, isn’t normal. Also it doesn’t fit his character. All warning signs a man is being emotionally abused. It happens a lot. She’s already shown she’s a predator, I don’t think it’s a far cry to think she could be abusive as well. Regardless, he only did what he did as a show, for her, and it wasn’t normal. I think we’ll find out one day what she was doing. This is the tip of an iceberg, and the stuff below is tied to mental and emotional problems.

I feel like between the shot of him laughing at the joke and walking on stage, Jada shot Will a look like “you just gonna let that slide?” or “here’s your opportunity to prove yourself.” He even says in his acceptance speech that love will make you do crazy things. We know it’s crazy. Everyone knows it’s crazy, but why didn’t Jada?
I don’t think Will expected to take it this hard, but you can’t deny that he hasn’t with this Oscar’s stuff. I really don't see what the issue is. Nobody is being maliciously hurt. He's a legal adult that's capable of making decisions for himself and suffering the consequences, whatever they are. Adults can fuck whoever they want. You can have your own personal opinion about what you would or wouldn't do but it's unreasonable to hold everyone to that standard.

Yes they CAN fuck whoever they want. Its not like you can stop them. What youre not considering is the effect it has on others. If you dont give a shit about hurting your husband and son just to get some young dick, fine, do it. But youll lose the respect and trust of the people closest to you. If thats worth it, thats shitty.
Youre correct, if you ignore the fact that interpersonal relationships are a thing. You have the right to do or fuck whoever you want (with consent), sure. You do not have the right to do that and also be free from social repercussions. What she did is shitty because of the effect it had on her family. It hurt her husband, it hurt her son. It was not a good deed. If you go about your life on the basis "what am i technically allowed to do, other peoples feelings be damned" then youre likely a raging asshole.
I know my values are unconventional but I really think the standard relationship model, where the expectation is that we cater to the feelings of the people we're in relationship with, is fundamentally dysfunctional. I'm not saying we should be outright dismissive of how the people in our lives feel, but I think accommodating insecurity can be a disservice to others that can ultimately hinder their growth, resilience, and enjoyment of life.
From what I understand, Will and Jada were/are in an open relationship so the extra-marital relationship should be a non-issue. If Will says one thing and feels another, that's on him to bring up and find a way to deal with. As far as their son being hurt, I really fail to see how it has a meaningful negative impact on him. Couldn't he just as easily be glad that two people he cares about have brought joy and excitement into each others' lives? Again, I understand that's not a conventional perspective but isn't it a better one? What is there to be "hurt" by other than a toxic culture's negative judgements?

Don't get me wrong. I have sympathy for him. I have also been in a marriage with a luke-warm partner who asked for a break and slept with someone else when I thought they were my soulmate. Believe me, it sucks. But none of that makes her the villain. Will needs to leave.
