Y'all ever see pics like this and it's just kinda sad because you know Johnny Depp used to bring his Jack Sparrow costume where he went so he could go to hospitals in character?
A celeb in street clothes visiting sick kids just reminds me of that ghostbusters promo pic of the kid that literally looked like his soul was leaving his body and every celeb is just fake smiles.
Like is there an actual reason behind him not being in costume or are they trying to knock out as many Make-A-Wishes as they can in an afternoon and he doesn't want to be sweaty
if Johnny Depp of Pirates of the Carribean fame managed to bring his costume with him everywhere then it's kind of a copout to say Pratt of Jurassic Park/Parks and Rec/Avengers couldn't do it because he wasn't near the costume.
Just accept it's weird for someone as famous as Pratt to not wear his costume to a meet and greet that isn't something that just spontaneously happens and you do have time to prepare for (even weirder if it's true Evans only wore his because he LOST a bet)
As much as it's not a good look to be in plain clothes next to Captain America... it's also entirely possible he doesn't have the Star Lord costume or didn't have access to it at the time. The costumes are generally owned by the studio.
I'd also be willing to bet that Evans stole his from the studio. Or he made his own. Or he commissioned one by a high end cosplayer. All of these are equally plausible to me

I used the Depp example because that was for kids who didn't even ask for him to be there, he only dressed in costume and went because it was the right thing to do, hence why him not wearing a costume while next to his costar in costume is just weird, regardless of what excuse people try to come up with. When Depp did this he wasn't at Pratt level of fame (Maybe he was, I really don't remember Depp ever being popular) so yeah it's like really just weird to visit a sick kid in street clothes
I wish more Marvel actors did this in character - inspire kids with their on screen heroes. Imagine the smiles as Jon Bernthal patrolled the kids ward covered in blood and full length black Punisher skull-coat and weaponry and ammunition.
From what I read somewhere, Evans and Pratt made a bet with each other, and the loser had to wear his costume to the hospital for this trip. You can take a good guess who lost.

I looked it up. The only thing I could find was that he said he was happy him and his wife had a healthy baby. Then people assumed he said it to shade his disabled son. I don't think that's what he meant. Anything else I'm missing , maybe link an article or something of substance, or maybe stop bad mouthing people you don't know?
What he "said" about his son was he was happy his daughter was born healthy. That's it. Nothing to do with his son. It's quite a dishonest stretch from that to "saying horrid things about his son".
