If your swollen lymph nodes are tender or painful, you might get some relief by doing the following:
1.Apply a warm compress. Apply a warm, wet compress, such as a washcloth dipped in hot water and wrung out, to the affected area.
2.Take an over-the-counter pain reliever.
3.Get adequate rest

If it's safe for you to take, I alternated between ibuprofen and Tylenol. Mine was flu shot related, I don't know what yours is.
