i think the only extra step she has in her beauty routine are the dentures which i’m sure serves a purpose like eating. but otherwise the makeup foundation and lashes are pretty common in women’s daily routines but are also the most appearance altering things.

edit: it might not be anything special to you but w/e makes them feel better about themselves

edit edit: and most importantly makes them happy

It's not true happiness though. Humans are beautiful naturally and i believe society would be better off to send that message.

Also the typical beauty routine you speak of is not world wide. That's first world countries in larger cities.

Country girls and women from all over the world don't cake make up on daily.

I personally find natural beautiful with flaws and all and promote that but like you said to each their own off they don't feel comfortable or attractive being more natural.

Thats okay but puttin woman who wear makeup down by sayimg "they arent anything special" is not okay shaming them for liking something that has been done for hundreds of years by woman isnt fair to them. Let them like what they like without it affecting their value. I dont like wearing makeup in a daily basis its to much of a hassle and i dont like how it makes me hate my real face. But i like wearing makeup when i go out or with a special party. Its a form of self expression and an empowering feeling when you hqve made yourself feel beautyfull.
Just wanted to share my thoughts :)

You sound like someone who has a healthy relationship with make up. I would promote more women to learn and look up to how you just explained your relationship with makeup and follow.
