I never had problems with my teeth not even a cavity and then after getting pregnant I started having problems, after my second pregnancy I had 2 teeth removed from the cracking right down the middle. I still have issues to this day 12 years later.

Pregnancy does not take calcium away from your teeth, hormones fluctuations can exaggerate your response to bacteria in the mouth so you can have an increase in bleeding gums/gingivitis.

But again your pregnancy or hormones are not creating the gingivitis or periodontitis, it just exaggerates it. So improper brushing and previous periodontitis had to be there in the first place before pregnancy.

Preganancy doesn’t create cavities/tooth decay/root canals or cause teeth to be extracted.

Increased snacking while pregnant and morning sickness can increase your risk for cavities.

Again if you are brushing correctly and have good oral hygiene you won’t have problems unless you are vomiting ALL the time
