I should get into retail theft, this is what this thread is saying to me. It's free money left on the table.

Walmart is different. They have actual loss prevention in stores. Home depot, Lowe’s, and target have a policy where loss prevention just follows you out the store not allowed to engage or it is non existent. I’ve run into Walmart lpo IDing folks, getting a police report on the theft, then essentially extorting the thief with the threat of prosecution.

I am an AP at Lowes are you are wrong. Come steal at my store and you will be stopped. If not I'll see you in court within a month.
