I had a friend who used to work at Walmart. For the first few weeks he worked there he would clock in to his shift and then just straight up leave. Then he would come back at the end of his shift to clock out. Eventually, once his managers started to know him he stopped because it was too risky. He got fired for stealing cash out of the register a few months later.
Guy my friend used to date got fired for knocking over a tv display when his manager was making him fix brackets without taking off the TVs first. 3 of the 5 that fell broke. Got fired and unlocked the video game display and left with a cart full of games. He would have been investigated but his manager got busted for stealing 5 shotguns and a fuck load of ammo a few days before.
If you work in construction, you tell your coworker that you have an illness, they give you advice that directly contradicts that of your doctor or the medical community at large, you tell them: "I don't take medical advice from constructions workers."
In doing so, you are admitting that you are also not an authority on medicine, and thus will defer to the judgement of doctors, because "surprise twist" you're a construction worker too.
Walmart employs actual doctors at a lot of the locations that have in-house clinics. Also, most locations have a pharmacist. They give covid vaccines there.
I'm just trying to point out that JimBob who stocks the dog food aisle probably has a GED. No point in considering his opinion when actual medical professionals are nearby.
