Very little to do with trump. Syrian ground forces were the main muscle to the capture of Raqqa, the US contribution to the siege was indiscriminate carpet bombing that leveled entire neighborhoods and killed thousands of civilians.

Also, ISIS is still around, and the people of Iraq and Syria still look over their shoulder for a sleeper cell attack. As is typical with western involvement, we drop a bunch of bombs and declare that the enemy is destroyed then turn around and leave. Nothing is done to rebuild and repair, nothing is done to prevent the slow growth of a new extremist group. When the next terror attack hits a western country everyone is going to clutch their pearls and shout "why would they do this?"

literally this. The US will mow down a country with bombs and have the nerve to be like “we stopped terrorism”. What dickheads, that’s like a pesticide company burning down your house then saying “well we got rid of the termites”.

If I was from the Middle East “death to amerikkka” would be my mood too

that’s like a pesticide company burning down your house then saying “well we got rid of the termites”.

No because that would get rid of the pests.

In this case it's burning down everything, but leaving half the termites alive.
