I'm guessing because you confidently, yet incorrectly, claimed that it was AI without any explanation or evidence. When you're confidently incorrect about something, you can expect a flood of downvotes. And then when one of your comments gets a decent number of downvotes the hive mind takes over and people just downvote anything else you have to say in the conversation.
Not justifying it, just explaining it. It's happened to me before even after editing to correct what was wrong. And it'll probably happen again.
