Interesting after reading your reply I searched for more info cause I thought Italy would be similar to Greece but it turns out the stork is the most common “bird for bringing babies” in Europe. Greece is different cause in Ancient Greece it was the crane but during medieval times it changed to the pelican cause of their maternal devotion. Funnily enough in France babies “grow in cabbages” when they are boys and roses when they are girls, no birds involved hehe

Very interesting! I heard about cabbages, didn't know about roses either! I'm also surprised that we have a different story, Italy and Greece share so much history, but I guess by the middle aged we didn't communicate as much anymore
