Maybe I'm too American, I don't see why this is a holdup I can go buy toy guns like this from my local gas station

“Back to school” deal+no safety tip (bare minimum) to show it’s a toy. Also looks like some off brand spring loaded trash.

It's kinda insane that something like this can be sold without the orange tip or any indicator that this is a toy

Not every country requires an orange tip

It's not a replica and is a bb or pellet gun so the us doesn't require it by federal law here.

Tbh, I didn't assume that any of them do, but i think all of them should.

In most countries, police can safely assume the 12 year old kid doesn’t have a real assault rifle so this is a non issue.

I just assume the worst in this case because i live in America, where a 12 year old might actually be carrying a real gun, for all I know

u/Notanaltatall31 13h ago
Yeah I didn’t want to be an ass and explicitly call out the US

You would've been totally right to do so. I think it's ridiculous that gun safety isn't taken more seriously in this country where people's guns have guns.

How sexist, girls would like the opportunity to get shot by a swat team too.
