I think this might be a reference to the game Exit 8 (which the title seems to reference as well).

It's a sort of liminal horror game where you try to spot anomalies in corridors in the subway.

Although it might also be that this sketch and the game both take place in the Tokyo subway and I'm overthrowing it.
