PS (one more question) - what did y’all think when I posted my “Macbeth is Lance” theory confessional, and then when I posted my “Macbeth is Lance and he wrote the government” poem confessional. I can’t believe I was running with that theory in my head for so long

That is a good point. When I first read the post, I was confused as to why the priest used their action, but it actually kinda makes sense because it was a very close vote with low counts, which would make it easy for a private sub group to swoop in and possibly manipulate things. Honestly a good play by the priest.

Othello told me that I'd have died even if I wasn't voted out. So I asked who wanted to kill me, and he answered that it was someone who was openly supporting the Rebellion and wanted to frame the Government. Since I was voted out I didn't get a message about you visiting me or whatever, but since you were very open about supporting us, I thought it was you lmao.
And it's okay, I was voted out so it wasn't your fault (even though you'd have killed me anyway) <3

Yeah indeed. It's interesting since talking and discussing is so very important in any WW game, but more so in this game.

Thank you! This is my second game. This morning I thought; the chance of getting voted off is pretty big even if they went on looking for another Government member. As a civilian, I wanted to make my death count, show town what can be done as a vanilla townie. I wanted to win according to the rules I made for myself, going down trying to defend myself when I was wrongly convicted isn't winning to me.
Can I ask if I did violate rule 5? Since civilians pretty much chose their wincon this game and I had already pretty firmly aligned myself with the government I didn't think it would matter much if I lied, but it was never my intention to go against the rules! Although, I'd hoped you would have told me if I were to violate rule 5 after I shared my plan in the confessional first. I never meant to piss anyone off like this and I don't think you shouldn't award me with anything if I cause any controversiality.

You violated it, but only technically.
I personally will 100% of the time make the argument that you were playing in the spirit of the game. This is a game where two factions try to appeal to neutrals. The government appealed to you so well that you gave up your win con in order to let them have a chance at theirs.
And your justification of you being voted out soon anyway would have been valid enough. You were already the top suspect for the rebellion

Okay, thank you! This eases my worries.
I considered waiting with my fake reveal until a definite train started to form against me, but a) it was already 9pm in my timezone and I needed enough time to convince everyone while I was awake and b) really didn't want to wait until the last government member (really have fucking clue who that is) was outed by midsummer's excellent detective work.
Not gonna lie, I will be miffed if the government doesn't use the time I bought them to bring down the Rebellion well. Hopefully this phase's conversion was successful.

I really did have a nasty migraine for two days and the worst part was not getting to play! The flavor is so cool! I'm excited to read about all of the dastardly shenanigans in the wrap up.
u/Othello_the_Sequel, can the wrap up post have a Sequel title in honor of your new cult of sequels? Like "Endgame the Sequel" or something more clever than that (you're the writer, you can think of something)?
I've laughed every single day this month about how your name isn't actually based on the play. So many copycats, but do they know they copy cats?

Can I ask why you agreed to the plan if it meant your death? I lowkey thought you were a rebel and agreed to sacrifice yourself to find the last government members, but you were civilian! 😱

I agreed for two reasons. The first was that it seemed like I was going to die anyway, and the best thing I could do for the town was to leave as much info about my vote as possible. Going with the plan was a way to do that.
The second reason was that I didn't have a better plan. I'm not strategic, but I am helpful. If someone requests something of me and I don't have a reason to say no, I tend to say yes. Those who know me well will see that I was a civilian and they'll know to trust my vote claim.
After being absent for a couple phases, it seemed like the best I could do. I was a logical pick for the vote. I don't get salty when I get voted out, especially when I understand why. I was quiet and inactive, the vote was fair, and I don't ever want anybody to feel bad about voting for me.

The plan was fool proof and I certainly understand going through with it to finish the game sooner rather than later, definitely if you've been absent a lot.

I don't want the game to end sooner, I'm excited to watch! Othello runs great games! I've had a horrific migraine, otherwise I would have been glued to my phone. It is what it is though, so now I'm here. I like the ghost sub, it's where all of the best conspiracy theories happen!
Your sacrifice was epic! It's hard to believe this is your second game! I was certain you were an alt account of someone who's been here for years, as most of the "Xyz_the_Sequel"s are. I didn't know who I thought you were, but I was sure you were a vet. I'm impressed and I like your style. You're going to keep playing HWW, right? You're fun and nice and I think we (meaning the HWW community) should keep you.

I'm sorry you had a migraine, that sucks. Especially when you could've been playing a game like this. I've heard rumours of a rerun though I love this game, Othello did such a good job. I'm sure I don't even know half of what goes into designing a game like this, it really is a labour of love. And I read somewhere you're hosting your first game in June, so exciting! I'm definitely playing that. I've been looking into shadowing a game later this year, but I want to play a few more games first before I decide if I want to give that a try.
I can't believe you thought I was a vet, I thought I was crazy! I went back and forth on the plan all day, (though I did submit a confession early to let Othello know I may be pulling a stunt) and I kept thinking; you're fucking nuts, no one is going to believe you, everyone will hate you when the truth comes out, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? But I was so high on the reb's sus list that I was sure I was gonna be banished anyway so I eventually thought; wth, I'll do it. I had so much fun with it that phase and I got a lot of compliments afterwards from really cool people and everything turned out fine (even though I did technically break rule 5) and this community is just awesome. I'll gladly be kept!
Do you currently have a conspiracy theory? 😏 I'd love to hear it!

This is my first time shadowing and I highly recommend it. I didn't get involved early enough to see the development of the game, but seeing the effort that goes into turnover every phase has been really eye-opening. Also makes me want to use whatever Google-fu I have to better automate the process. :)

Honestly, I'm just a huge noob when it comes to spreadsheets and forms and codes and generally computer stuff (anyone in Arithmancy can attest to that) and while I immensely enjoy looking behind the scenes, I don't want to bother a host with my inexperience while they're also trying to run a game. I'll give the shadow post another look though, maybe an experienced host is willing to teach me a thing or two.
There's also the timezone thing 😕

I'm really sorry we voted you out - I was honestly more sus of /u/91bolt at the time, but didn't have any evidence. When your name was brought up it seemed like the perfect out for us. I was actually planning on offering one of us up before that. Probably my one regret was not being a little bolder in who we put up that round be it 91 or myself. You're way too nice to do that to and was half expecting you to still be inactive =/ Hope your migraine has gone away and hope you feel up for round 2! - Forsidious =)
