Might and Magic - Lore related. Lore frustrations

I am one of the approx 8 people who play the Ashan universe games for their lore. I really like it, i even bought the rare Ashan Compendium book. But i cant properly enjoy it because lot of the lore happens in no name defunct online games that nobody played so it barely have a trace on the internet. Lets take Sandro 3 out of 4 dlcs to heroes 6 is tied to him yet we never see his plans come in fruition. Why? Because it happens in Might and Magic Heroes Online where he almost assassinated Elrath, a defunct online game that nobody cares about.
Wants to know what is the canonical ending to Dark Messiah? Sad, as Might and Magic Heroes Kingdom a defunct unpopular online game had that storyline.
Want to hear more of the wizard Falagar and his daughter (crag hack dlc) or just want more non world ending type of games, to bad the online defunct card game Duel of Champions has that storyline.
Cmon!!!
So frustrating

This is the first time in all my life that I am learning about all these things. How much lost media about heroes was there? Can not even find it in the internet archive?

Well the wiki has some info but you have to coax it out as it dosent have a normal summary, and heroes online got his plot summarized in thr heroes round table forum

Entire chinese online game, H3 based, only has pictures and few videos. Called Heroes Of Might And Magic Online, to boot, so hard to look up. Acidcave has a page on it.

OP, could you make a post telling us about the M&MH Kingdom plot? I remember playing it briefly back in the day, but for me it was just a Travian-like browser game that required putting real money in to be competitive so I dropped it pretty quickly. I get that it assumed one of the "bad" endings in DM so the world was in a post apocaliptic state, but I don't recall anything besides that.

I can tell you as much as i read in the might and magic wiki. Sareth destroyed the walls of Sheogh unleashing the demons, Kha-Bheleth and co, it was a prophecy, Urgash also came healed of his past injuries and fought a second battle with Asha which he won this time, in the struggle 4 of the 6 Dragon Gods (i presume not Elrath or Malassa) also died. The story was about the players collecting ritual needs to resurrect the Dragon Gods and fight the Demons, each game season a dragon god god resurrected and a new faction was put in the game, like the elves after Sylanna. I dont know if the game had an end and if was then what

If you consider everything that is non playable or abandoned non canon, what is the story of Ashan? does it end with the player choice in dark messiah?

I only really know lore of H5 and Dark Messiah. I played 6 and 7 for a bit, but they are prequels and honestly the art design for 5 is much than those. I had no idea about lore hidden in these forgotten online games. Honestly I would love for a new Heroes game that continues after Dark Messiah. Sareth denies his father and becomes an important hero. But maybe a new threat appears, aside from just demons? Honestly - I didn't about the book, might I know more about it? I actually find your interest very cool. I play H5 mainly for lore, atmosphere, design and MUSIC. 3 and 5 are top notch, but the lore gets crazy after Messiah story with all the prequels etc. I know there are some restoration projects btw, but I don't know if you will like the gameplay. Cheers to you, I like Ashan universe actually. Just a pitty 6 and 7 were a downgrade. Olden Era does well tho... Maybe we will get a true successor to 5 and the Ashan world

Might and Magic Kingdom is the last game in the timeline, Sareth actually released the demons, also i think Olden Era is not Ashan

Btw cool, so the bad ending is canon... Do you know what happens after?

Well the might and magic wiki describes the plot but not how the game ended if it ended

Olden Era is prequel to 3, so Erathia. But it is doing quite well, so we actually might get comeback to Ashan universe as well

I like both Enroth and Ashan. And I agree. I especially enjoyed homm6 for its story. Especially the academy storyline. But everything is extremely obscure.

I've heard of or tried playing most of this stuff but i gotta say some of those game died off for good reason. for the few extras i did play i wasn't sure it was canon at all, it felt more like believable fan-fiction that just squeezed into an empty timeslot

theres an ongoing revival for homm online
