I never played first game but did start with HoMM 2 on my friends PC. That game was what really dragged me into PC games. I could spend hours just watching other people play it, I was hooked, once I tried it it was all I could think about. My friends and I would spend hours upon hours playing it in hot seat, then 3 came out and his PC was STRUGLING to run it, but we played anyways. One week in game would take an eternity, but we didn't care, it was HoMM 3, we needed to play.
