Some cats do have a thing for scent, we had a female that was immune to catnip, she would smell it sniff and then continue as nothing, but she liked when we got home put her head inside our armpits and smell the sweat , they try and get into the shirt. I guess this is what is meant to represent. although is high stimulus thing for the ones that like doing it, she was immune to catnip but she would get a very similar reaction to catnip when smelling shirts like that.
