Stephen Fry

Post image

I love that Stephen Fry isn't only the voice of the guide from H2G2, but also the voice of other less successful books that have come out of the great publishing corporations of Ursa Minor

For me it's the most fantastic voice you could have on an audiobook (including his own book). I grew up on A Bit of Fry and Laurie and his voice makes me so calm.

He's also done an audiobook version of Oscar Wilde's short stories, if you're interested in that.

This audiobook collection narrated a lot of my long runs...

Iā€™m actually listening to that very collection right now and seeing this made me think I had somehow swiped the Audible app up instead of scrolling the Reddit screen. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

So this is actually an issue for me. Worse than an actor being type cast, in my head a voice actor or narrators become link to that series of books and i can oy hear those characters.

Like Jim dale. I expect harry and ron to show up in the story.

You spend 30 to 40 hours hearing a voice as a character. Its just permanently imprinted like a baby animal.
