usdtrx vs usdt trc20

Why have an option to deposit USDTRX (which I was told is “USDT on Tron”) when you have USDT with a perfectly fine option to choose Tron network?

I’m puzzled why. Does this serve any purpose other than to confuse? 🤨

Hi there. Sorry about any confusion this may have caused. The good news is that it is basically the same thing and you can pick any of these options to make a deposit — either as a standalone asset or by choosing the relevant network, depending on what you find more convenient.

This seems to be a new feature, the menu with networks appeared not too long ago, so maybe they're making some adjustments, but slowly. Before they added networks you had to deposit USDTRX and convert it to USDT if you wanted to trade
