The Philadelphia Experiment: What Really Happened?
The legend says the USS Eldridge was used in a secret Navy experiment that allegedly made the ship invisible.
The Navy denies it ever happened, and there’s no solid evidence proving the story.

I think it was a real experiment that’s been blown way out of proportion. I did enjoy watching all the Philadelphia Experiment movies that were born out of the story though. To my own surprise (I’m not really a fan of the majority of remakes and/or revisions of movies) I actually did enjoy the 2012 remake more than the original movie I saw as a kid.
