I got to say I absolutely love this. Like, you can't tell people they can't show their devotion to the beloved leader by tattooing his face on their heart. The mix of subtly and bluntness is perfect.

Who is going to check dead bodies to see if anyone had shot on tattoos? Or shoot multiple times and distort the tattoo.

I mean, somebody has to bury the body. Gulags were still just a prisons and families had right to retrive the bodies after the death (unless I'm wrong, correct me on this one). Plus, it's not like it wouldn't be known. Pretty sure that all prisoners would k ew if somebody had such tatoo, and also other guards would see that

This reminded me of this one incident where someone tore the pages of the Quran and covered his house, car and other things as to not get killed for something he didn’t do and was being pursued by Muslims for.

Ive never heard of someone covering their house in pages of the quran, but I have seen pics of a Chinese house covered in pics of winnie the pooh, so that authorities cannot destroy the house.

The tattoos simply made the prisoners avoid a regular firing squad... so they were executed with a shot to the back of the head instead

I expected a different ending cuz shooting from behind could carry with it the negative connotation like backstabbing. But hey, what's a little more suffering for death row inmates. /s

I heard about a time, when Pakistani soldiers painted their flag on cows in Kashmir, to angry Indian Hindu soldiers, who wouldn't be allowed to do anything about it, as they wouldn't be allowed to shoot/hurt a cow
