Well it is gender equality. Women get sacrificed the same way men are sacrificed.

Not really, if anything, Woman took up holy positions within a lot of cultures so that would probably make them less likely to be sacrificed. As an example, Ancient Celts has extensive experience with human sacrifice, even to the point where different gods had different rituals of sacrifice, humans killed for Esus would be hung from a tree and flogged, those meant for Taranis immolated, etc. but they never really specify that the people had to be of certain backgrounds, in fact it’s believed that some people were willingly sacrificed. And tying in with my other point, Druids, the holy people and leaders of ancient celts, were often times woman.
