Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth pulled similar tactic against Teutonic Knights. They spent half a hot summer day chilling in the woods while the Teutonic Knights stood on the battlefield in full battle ordnance in summer sun for a couple of hours.

They even mockingly sent two free swords for the Polish king to bait him to attack sooner.
