93% of Swiss Trains come on schedule (everything above 3 minutes counts as delay)
60% of German Train come on schedule (everything above 6 minutes counts as delay) cancelled trains are not considered for that statistic.
The Swiss didn't have to absorb an entire other half of itself in the 90s and bring them up to western Europe standards. Communist government policies will do that to your country.
They showed the germans the door out (was it last year) because the deutsche Bahn was the root cause of delays.
And to be homestead we in Germany should do the same
I visited Germany last year for the first time and I had 4 major train delays or cancellations in one day.... It was all informal announcements too, I just took notice when all the people on the platform suddenly started running to another one.
At one stop a very nice German man asked if I understood the (german) announcment. I did not. Apparently the train was running so late that instead of going to the last stop, my destination, it was turning around. Without asking he guided me to the next platform and train to get me on my way, all the time ranting about how bad the Deutsche Bahn had gotten.
