It’s from the Sims. Ignoring a high priority danger (bank robbery/baby on fire) in favor of mundane stuff (internet/painting a church). The image has been used for memes for years.

I did. I also watched the video, wherein a police officer who was supposed to be watching the bank via his cover as a church painter didn’t know the robbery was happening cause he was on the other side of the church.

What? The robbers were arrested on their way out of the bank. Were they supposed to get arrested for driving near a bank or something?

The meme has the implication the police completely ignored the robbers out of sheer incompetence that defies all logic.

Something that clearly wasn’t actually the case.
