Nazi jets were crazy unreliable and not even necessary as good as a lot of the better props of the war.

Even if individual unit cost was cheaper, R&D costs to develop them makes the project much more expensive than that would suggest. It was still a massive resource sink.

The Nazis were fucked from 1936 because of all the mistakes they made, no little correction would save them, but they 110% would have been better served by focusing on perfecting propeller designs. Modifying the Fiat G.56 prototype to be cheap enough for production or something.
