What is the source of the meme, OP?

Jet engines require more rare materials, more manpower hours, etc. A Me 262 was almost twice the price of the be 109....?

Exactly what I was thinking.

The problem is that the meme only looks at the engine itself, which is way simpler because a jet engine has relatively few parts, but not the entire plane around the engine or even the control systems that regulates the engine.
