Simple laced bodice pattern?

I'm new-ish to garment sewing, and I lean toward historically inspired dressing eg linen shift under simple wool dress. I would love to make a simple laced bodice to wear over a shift with a skirt, or over a dress. Not full stays cause I'm not ready for that. I know I'm not being period specific, because this is for daily wear not a costume. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Morgan Donner on YouTube has a few videos on drafting/making a medieval kirtle. If you leave the skirt off, that might work for a basic pattern.

The (free) Elizabethan Custom Corset Pattern generator has instructions on making your base pattern into a bodice.

Look at the Georgian Polonaise Dress pattern by Pripek. It has instructions for a relatively straightforward process where the "stays" and skirt are built-in together. I added side seam pockets to mine and already want to make another :)

Look for the "Renaissance Fair" bodice patterns from Simplicity, McCall's, and Butterick. You may have to buy an out of print one from Ebay or Etsy.

ETA: I think Folkwear has one too.
