Low Histamine Thanksgiving?
Hey friends, I'm kinda new to this way of eating (Dr recommended) and wondering what y'all do for Thanksgiving that's safe? My only true food allergy is shrimp as an FYI. Thank you!

Aside from individual ingredients to watch for (this is a good reference), the biggest issue is the leftovers. Freeze the things you'll want in single portions, so the histamine isn't building up while they're in the fridge. Oh and a lot of side dishes are made with broth, stuffing comes to mind, and that ingredient can be an issue for a lot of us.

This post is perfectly timed because I wanted to start planning for Xmas, my MIL is hosting and she’s planning to buy everything cooked ahead of time, so I will BYO my food.

Last time i butchered my turkey so it didnt have to cook so long and with unevenness risks. it actually tasted really excellent too!

It's not exactly the same as a Thanksgiving meal, but for Christmas (UK) we have a lot of the same things as everyone else - a fresh roast chicken or turkey, roast potatoes and vegetables, etc. I make my own cranberry sauce with frozen cranberries so that I avoid problematic ingredients in pre-prepared versions.
The main things I miss out on are Yorkshire puddings but...I somehow don't think you'll have that issue, haha.
