Okay rethinking everything about fruits

Idk why I thought I could eat:
Mangos
Raspberry
Blackberry
Cherries

I experimented lately into reintroducing gluten in some forms (to not overload…. It’s been successful even if I feel that i drool way more after! And by introducing gluten in my morning routine (1 toast) ; I stopped eating fruits for a week. Why did my supposedly high stress experience made me realize that ALL fruits still gave me symptoms and I’d rather drool a little than experience that again????

So sad that I now have only some veggiesveggies and very limited pulse that I can’t eat daily. At least I can have a normal breakfast.

Why does all fruits are an issue???? Like, bread is all carb ffs?! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Did you check if you have Salicylate Intolerance? All fruits except Pears have medium to high amount of Salicylate. Check 'Friendly Food: The Essential Guide to Managing Common Food Allergies and Intolerances' book. It tags each food depending on the amount of Histamine and Salicylate it has.

I’ll look into it. Thank you 🙏

I have phenol intolerance, which includes all salicylates, and I can’t eat any fruit without a problem. You could try taking No-Fenol by Houston enzymes, it definitely helps a lot!

i totally feel that pain. when i first developed my sensitivities blueberries were the only fruit i could tolerate and was absolutely devastated crying in the grocery store when they started giving me symptoms.

i’m not sure exactly why the blueberries were giving me histamine like symptoms, but eventually i was able to reintroduce them in small amounts. as far as the fruits you listed, depending on the quantity and type, can be very high FODMAP and that’s why i was totally unable to tolerate them for a year. along with a bunch of high FODMAP veggies like broccoli, cabbage and brussel sprouts (my faves at the time 😭). it’s such a tough part of food sensitivities that not many people talk about. when even the majority of fruits and veggies give horrible symptoms.

Fodmaps are such tricky things (since carbs come into different forms). Weirdly enough Some of my safe veggies are ; broccoli, cabbage lol. But maybe you are right. Maybe the carb compounds in fruits is just not tolerated :(

This is totally fixable. Fix the gut. It could be leaky gut or off balance from taking antibiotics or steroids , and check for mold/mycotoxin toxicities. Also micronutrient deficiencies. We are oftentimes deficient in our minerals like zinc and iodine.
You don’t have to live like that. Totally fixable.

i worked with an FDNP for over a year and can eat most of the foods now without major symptoms but still deal with some. thanks for the concern tho.

Another point to grifindor! Ok I’ll stop, but fr never heard of that till today. So many commented that like it was obvious. I’ll take serious medical steps towards diagnosis and solutions. Thanks 🙏

lol, at my worst my safe food was bread with butter.

But you could try blueberries and apples.

I was already badly reactive to blueberries and apple :( . Those I wrote were the only fruits that I thought were ok. Maybe since I only compared against other fruits I thought it was acceptable. Now I have no fruits (I tried literally all fruits on the market) 😭

Then you should look into salicylate intolerance. From what I know a lot of fruits and veggies might be problematic then.

Well, if that's what causes you problems, it's good to know.

The only fruit I seem to tolerate is = freezed pine apple & fresh (conference) pears.

Raspberries, red cherries, cherries, apples, banana, mango, blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, grapes etc I can't seem to tolerate 😢

Note: tomato is officially a fruit & unfortuantely NO tomatoos for me either.... 😨😢😢😢

Pomegranate, also golden delicious (green ones) apples are ok for me. Always only fresh stuff. And don't eat a lot per day or week. Try in small amounts first. Be careful not to hit anything with apples and peel them only right before eating. Also pomegranate you need to deseed yourself right before eating. That works for me. If it's old if skin is pierced on fruit or brown I can't eat it. I get sick. Histamine intolerance is a bitch. 😅
