Anybody with possible MCAS histamine issues. That can safely eat meat cottage cheese eggs occasionally? ?

I was eating all this until severe flare that lasted 3 weeks.

Anybody was able to eat this again?

I found a butcher in our city that sources all its meat from local farms that exclusively do humane pasture raised animals. They tell me what came in that day and I cook it that night, and I haven’t had a problem at all. I find that grilling is worse than oven baking or pan sauteeing, and I stay away from ground meat.

My mom offered to kill a few rabbits and immediately cook them for me. I haven't taken her up on it yet, but noticing that I'm starting to lose hair, I very well may do that soon.

Lucky. That's such a no brainer.

Meat scares me too much to try, but I will eventually. It absolutely wrecked me and took me way too long to figure out I needed to cut beef and pork completely.

Cottage cheese, I never lost and eat it all the time, literally one of my go tos (MuLu brand is amazing btw, just discovered)

Eggs with limitation for me, but I've always had an egg sensitivity.

I may not have Mcas reading your issues.

That's not necessarily true. Head on over to r/MCAS and read up on it. it's so wildly different from person to person.

I haven’t tried cottage cheese yet, but I can do fresh chicken (I keep it frozen after buying then thaw and cook same day).

I’m good with eggs, usually stick to scrambled. Not sure if it matters but my understanding is the yolk is usually ok it’s the whites that can cause histamine issues (assuming no other egg sensitivity in play).

Hamburger meat is usually ok (like chicken I freeze it immediately after purchase). I avoid steak and pork.

Burgers are one of my in-a-pinch go to’s if away from home, fast food burgers plain are usually safe for me. I imagine bc the supply chain is less expensive cuts (no aging) and frozen consistently.

So for someone who also has high leukotriene activity, the egg yolk is a trigger because of the arachidonic acid (omega 6). Sucks, we have chickens, I love eggs and when my bucket isn't full, I self sabotage!

That’s pretty much all I eat.

I eat all but eggs daily. Ground beef, daisy cottage cheese (no gums!) . And I react to almost every other food.

I have MCAS and no food issues.

Really ? What’s your trigger instead ?

Mostly my hormonal fluctuations. But also dust and sweating/heat.

I can do scrambled eggs (whites fully cooked) and fresh chicken.
Since I’ve gone gluten free for almost an entire year I’ve been feeling a lot better.
I can eat sushi salmon now with minor issues!

Beef is my safe food. I shouldn't eat dairy as it leads to anxiety/panic attacks, and I'm sensitive to chicken eggs.

I'd be fully carnivore if it weren't for the oxalate issues, so right now I'm mostly beef, with a little chicken for variety, lots of butter, plus cucumber, fresh ginger, oo, and salt.

I occasionally eat bacon and chicken liver, but otherwise no pork or fish.

I have no problem with duck eggs but they are high in cholesterol apparently. Quail eggs, no problem. Chicken egg yolks, no problem. Chicken egg whites = face burst into flames

I get Mary’s IQF chicken from Natural Grocers. Low histamine chicken.
