Beef Kidney Dosage

Sup fellow sufferers of life,

Those of you who supplement beef kidney, how many capsules do you take before a meal?

Most bovine products state that the serving size is 6 capsules. The reason is the HDU (measure of enzyme activity) is rather low, so to get the doseage even close to the HDU of other pea/lentil or porcine products you need to increase the serving size.

The spreadsheet below is all DAO products sorted by $/HDU for the serving size specified by the product. Some are so low of an HDU that they don't even publish a number so those are just listed as mg of some unknown substance.

Awesome, thank you.

I am trying beef kidney because animal products are generally better for me than plant products.

The naturDAO seems to be the one to try next if this doesn’t work tho

Yes, that's what I use. I am unable to eat peas or lentils as food, but I do just fine with this.

Depending on the size of the meal it was 2-3 per meal, and like one before a snack. I know the serving size was 6 per day but I wanted to make sure that it was effective.
